For example, here are 8 strawberries.

We can split these strawberries into two equal parts.

This means that 8 is an even number.
0, 2, 6, 8, 10, 12, etc are a few of the even numbers.

Odd numbers

For example:

These 5 cars cannot be split into two equal parts. So, 5 is an odd number.

1, 3, 5, 7, 9, and so on are odd numbers.

How to find if a number is odd or even?

To find out if a number is odd or even, we can use the last digit of a number.

If the last digit of a number is 0, 2, 4, 6, or 8, it is an EVEN number.
If the last digit of a number is 1, 3, 5, 7, or 9, it is an ODD number.
